Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026 · Applies to visitors of veritechdiligence.com and prospective clients contacting the practice
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information collected through veritechdiligence.com (the "Site") and through the scoping and engagement process that follows an initial inquiry.
This policy covers the Site and our general business communications with prospective clients. It does not govern how Veritech handles information belonging to a Target business once a technical due diligence engagement begins — that is addressed separately in Sections 5 and 6 of our engagement agreement, which each client receives and signs before any review work starts. What we collect, and why:
Information you provide directly
When you contact us through the Site's contact form, book a scoping call, or email us directly, we collect what you provide: your name, email address, company or fund name, and any details you share about a prospective deal, including the name or URL of a Target business.
We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry, schedule a scoping call, and, if you engage us, to prepare and administer the engagement agreement. We do not use it for any other purpose without telling you.
Information collected automatically
Like most sites, veritechdiligence.com uses analytics to understand how visitors find and use it. We currently use [Google Analytics 4 / analytics tool], which collects standard information such as pages viewed, referring source, approximate location (city/region level), device type, and browsing behavior on the Site. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
The Site may also use cookies for this purpose. See Section 4 for how you can manage cookie preferences.
Information we do not collect through the Site
We do not collect payment information through the Site. Engagement fees are invoiced and paid through [payment processor, e.g., Stripe] directly, which has its own privacy practices governing that transaction.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. The Site is intended for business use by adults evaluating or advising on business acquisitions.
Cookies and tracking technologies
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to remember basic preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block or delete them. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the Site function, though it will not prevent you from contacting us or reading Site content.
If you are visiting from a jurisdiction with specific cookie-consent requirements (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA), [insert consent banner / mechanism description once implemented].
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- With service providers who help us operate the Site or our business (for example, email, scheduling, or analytics tools), under obligations to protect it.
- If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- With your consent, or as necessary to perform a signed engagement agreement.
Data retention
We retain inquiry and scoping-call information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, administer a potential or active engagement, and meet our own recordkeeping and legal obligations. Completed engagement records, including reports delivered to clients, are retained consistent with the confidentiality terms of the applicable engagement agreement.
You may ask us to delete inquiry information that did not lead to an engagement at any time; see Section 8.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information collected through the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you are sharing sensitive deal information before an engagement agreement and NDA are in place, keep in mind that the Site's contact form is not a substitute for the secure access channels used once an engagement begins.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at hello@veritechdiligence.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
